Privacy Policy

How we handle personal data on this website, in our booking system and when you stay with us, under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data controller

The data controller is the operator of Askireg Otel:

Visiting this website

When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to the server that hosts this website: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the page you came from, and your browser and operating system. This data is used only to deliver the website and keep it secure, and server logs are deleted after a short period.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (KVKK art. 5(2)(f); GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).

No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts are served from our own server, so opening a page does not contact any third party.

Google Maps

The map on the contact page loads only when you click “Show map”. Google then receives your IP address and other technical data and may set cookies. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States.

Legal basis: your explicit consent, given by clicking the button (KVKK art. 5(1) and art. 9; GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Online booking

The booking buttons take you to our booking system at askireg-otel.hmshotel.net, provided by HMS Hotel Program. We use the details you enter there (name, contact details, dates of stay, payment details) to process your reservation. The booking system’s own privacy notice also applies on that site.

Legal basis: performing the booking contract (KVKK art. 5(2)(c); GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).

Contacting us

If you call, email or message us, we use your details and your message only to answer you and, if you book, to prepare your stay.

Legal basis: steps before a contract and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (KVKK art. 5(2)(c) and (f); GDPR art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).

Your stay

When you stay with us, Turkish law (Identity Notification Law No. 1774) requires us to record our guests’ identity details and report them to the authorities.

Legal basis: legal obligation (KVKK art. 5(2)(ç); GDPR art. 6(1)(c)).

Facebook and Instagram

The icons in the footer are plain links. Nothing is loaded from Facebook or Instagram until you click one; on their sites, Meta’s privacy policy applies.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as the purpose it was collected for requires, or as long as the law obliges us to (for example for tax and accounting records), and then delete, destroy or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to:

  • learn whether we process your personal data, and request information about it
  • learn the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used accordingly
  • know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred
  • ask for incomplete or incorrect data to be corrected
  • ask for your data to be deleted or destroyed under the conditions of article 7 of the KVKK
  • ask for third parties who received your data to be told of such corrections or deletions
  • object to a result against you that comes solely from automated analysis
  • claim compensation if unlawful processing causes you damage

If the GDPR applies to you, you also have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (GDPR articles 15–21), and you can withdraw your consent at any time.

Send your request by email to contact@hotel-askireg.com or by post to the address above. We answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (www.kvkk.gov.tr) or, if the GDPR applies, to the data protection authority in your country.
